About

WHAT WE DO

Crying But Capable, a plus-size cosplayer group based out of Orlando, Florida, is dedicated to advocating for diversity and inclusion within the cosplay community.  We believe that the joy of cosplay should be accessible to everyone, irrespective of their background, ethnicity, disability, or body size. At our core, we are driven by the realization that self-expression knows no boundaries, and our collective mission is to challenge stereotypes and redefine cosplay for everyone. Established in 2021, Crying But Capable is a collective of both emerging cosplayers and seasoned veteran cosplayers, boasting years of invaluable experience in the realm of cosplay.

Crying But Capable has made appearances at comic cons such as Atlanta Comic Con, MegaCon Orlando, Fan Expo Chicago, Tampa Bay Comic Con, Florida Supercon, and the iconic New York Comic Con.  Beyond the convention spotlight, we host a variety meetups and online events, to foster a sense of community. In doing so, we create a safe environment where individuals of all backgrounds can come together, forging connections and celebrating the art of cosplay as a powerful medium for self-discovery and self-love. Our collective voice echoes the sentiment that everyone is not only capable but deserving of expressing their creativity through the world of cosplay, breaking down barriers and paving the way for a future where diversity is a priority.

In summary, we are a group of 13 silly goobers that love cosplay and celebrating EVERYONE!
